Biography
Dr. Siti Hawa is also a licensed Heal Your Life Workshop Leader based on Louise Hay’s Philosophy.

Upon completion her master’s degree, she returned home and spent several years lecturing on psychology at a local university.
Dr. Siti Hawa joined Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad as a Human Resource Director in 1998. She headed up the Human Resource Department to oversee seven units namely Payroll, Local Recruitment Unit, Foreign Recruitment Unit, Industrial Relations/Employee Relations, MYDIN Retail Academy (MYRA), Special Project Unit (SPU) and Administrative Unit.

As a Human Resource Director, she was responsible in developing the growth of 11,000 employees.

Dr. Siti Hawa had led her dedicated Human Resource team to initiate Training & Development Unit (TDU), developing, creating customized soft and hard skills training programme. TDU has morphed into MYDIN Retail Academy (MYRA).
​
Although no longer the Human Resource Director she remains an active member of Mydin’s Board Of Directors.
Dr. Siti Hawa is an avid reader and has a strong passion in writing. Her English radio play was written after she completed her secondary school, and aired on a local radio.

While lecturing, she wrote “Strategi Belajar Lulus Peperiksaan” (1988) published by Nurin Enterprise and also co-authored Oxford Publication “Pengantar Psikologi” (1990) published by Fajar Bakti for university students.

Dr. Siti Hawa also wrote numerous magazine articles focusing on women and family which published in Utusan Malaysia, Her World, Female, Early Childhood & Family, Dewan Masyarakat, Wanita and Jelita.
12 December 2011 marked a historic date for Dr. Siti Hawa. MPH launched her third book at Mid Valley Mega Mall Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. She encapsulated the journey of MYDIN business in a book called MYDIN The Untold Story for English Version and MYDIN Disebalik Tabir for Bahasa Malaysia version.

Ever since the launch, Dr. Siti Hawa has been invited as a guest speaker by a number of higher learning institutions and agencies. She shared her thoughts with all levels of people, university students, lecturers and young entrepreneurs who were inspired with the MYDIN business journey documented in the book.
​
Dr. Siti Hawa also wrote two other books which were released in year 2020 and 2021 titled Customer Service Reinvented - Language of the Soul and a novel "Waiting for Salima".
